Tower Of Fantasy: How To Disable Motion Blur

Updated Date :

In Tower of Fantasy, there is no direct option to disable motion blur. This is really annoying, especially for players that play on an older system. Switching off motion blur can give a massive if not a noticeable performance boost. It also helps increase the game’s FPS. But the game decided to not give this option natively for some reason. Thankfully there is a workaround for you to do it. So in this guide let us check how to turn off motion blur in Tower of Fantasy (ToF).

You can turn off motion blur in this game by setting its value to 0, and adding that line to the Engine.ini file. I know this looks like an odd way but there is no option available for you to directly disable it from the settings. Before we get into the fix, thanks to user u/maharahji on Reddit to share this fix. You can check the entire conversation in this thread here. Now here are the steps for it:

  1. Go to this path on your system: C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\Hotta\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
    1. In case you don’t see the AppData folder on your File Explorer you must not have checked the Hidden items option.
    2. Click on the View button on the top corner of the screen.
    3. Here, check the Hidden Items checkbox.
    4. You should now see the AppData folder.
    5. Follow the above path to the WindowsNoEditor folder.
  2. Here open the Engine.ini file.
  3. You can open it using Notepad or any other text editor.
  4. Set the post processing to low, then add these lines:
    [SystemSettings]
    r.DefaultFeature.MotionBlur=0
  5. After that save the Engine.ini file.

Now when you play the game you won’t get motion blur.

That covers this guide on how to disable Motion Blur in Tower of Fantasy (ToF). Since you like playing this game also check our guides on how to level up, how satiety & healing systems work, how to skip cutscenes, and the Gold Nucleus farming guide.
