Dragon’s Dogma 2 has a game-breaking disease known as Dragonsplague that can lead to mass murder. However, if you are observant, you can prevent this disaster from happening in the first place. Dragonsplague can only affect your beloved Pawns but it won’t show up in the status bar. Instead, you will have to diagnose and remedy this affliction. In this guide, we will explain everything about Dragonsplague including how it works, how to spot it, and how to cure it.
What is Dragonsplague in Dragon’s Dogma 2
As I said, Dragonsplague will only affect your Pawns and not you. Usually, Pawns that travel through the Rift are vulnerable to this disease. Also, a Pawn that has recently fought a Dragon can fall victim to it. At first, they will show symptoms (scroll down to know) but once they enter the terminal stage, they will lose their senses and kill every NPC in the town.
How to Spot (or Diagnose) Dragonsplague
Once a Pawn has been afflicted with Dragonsplague, it will start behaving abnormally. This begins with them coughing and sometimes touching their foreheads to check fever. One thing that you should know is that the victim’s eyes will often glow red which is an obvious sign of Dragonsplague.
You should keep an eye on your party as they are your best bet in identifying the Dragonsplague in Dragon’s Dogma 2. I am saying this because other Pawns will comment on the afflicted Pawn on its unusual behavior. Now, if you want to confirm this personally, try giving the order to the suspected Pawn. If it disobeys you straight up then it’s a wake-up call for you that the Pawn has been struck by Dragonsplague.
Note: A Pawn with Dragonsplague will get boosted strength and abilities. It will begin to unleash on the enemies and will deny your orders as if they are possessed.
How to Cure Dragonsplague in Dragon’s Dogma 2
For now, the only known method to cure Dragonsplague in DD2 is by killing the infected. Since this disease is contagious, it may spread in your party and infect other Pawns too. So, it is highly recommended to kill the infected by throwing them off the cliff. Once they are dead, you can Revive them using the Wakestone.
There’s no known in-game item or resource that can be used to cure Dragonsplague yet. Before we conclude this guide, you should know when can the afflicted start mass murdering NPCs in its terminal stage. It basically happens when you wake up after taking a rest in a populated Town like Venworth. You will receive a message saying about the tragedy left behind by Dragonsplague.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is full of challenges and half of them would disappear if you choose the Best Vocation for yourself. To learn more about this game, check out our other guide.
