How to Get the Demonic Pickaxe in The Forge

Published Date :

The Demonic Pickaxe is one of the strongest pickaxes in The Forge, providing great mining power, making it excellent for end-game progression. Getting it is not as simple as directly purchasing it – you need to complete a dedicated questline, gather high-level ores, and pay a high amount of Gold. Here’s how to get started.

How to Obtain the Demonic Pickaxe in The Forge

To begin working toward the Demonic Pickaxe, first gain access to the Forgotten Kingdom. From here, go to the Ruined Cave > Descent’s Beginning > Ashen Passage> Volcanic Depths. Explore the cave and look for a fiery swirly design on the ground. Follow the path into the tunnel, and you’ll find the NPC named Skal. Interact to start the quest.

You will be asked to bring 3 Demonite which can be obtained by mining Volcanic rocks, however, it has a low drop chance of 1/3666, so you’ll need luck boosts and a good pickaxe. It’s best to bring an Arcane Pickaxe or higher.

Getting 3 Demonite will take time because the strong enemies nearby (such as the Elite Deathaxe Skeleton and Blazing Slimes) will keep attacking you, so persistence and patience are key.  Once you’ve obtained 3 of this ore, go and interact with Skal again, and you will receive the Demonite Key.

Use the key to unlock the wooden door nearby, and you will see the location of ‘Demon’s Hideout’, where the Demonic Pickaxe is kept in The Forge. Interact with it, pay the amount of 500,000 Gold, and the pickaxe is yours!

What are the stats of the Demonic Pickaxe?

The Demonic Pickaxe’s stats reflect its late-game nature. It offers 180 mining damage, putting it far above standard and mid-tier pickaxes. It provides a 51% Luck bonus, giving you a significant advantage when hunting for extremely rare ores like Obsidian.

The pickaxe also includes three rune slots, which makes it incredibly customizable with Miner Shards. Although the Demonic Pickaxe has a slight reduction in mining speed at base (-10%), its power and rune flexibility will fill that gap.

Because of these advantages, the Demonic Pickaxe is considered a must-have for late-game players of The Forge, especially for those aiming to collect rare ores or craft top-tier gear.
