Since the time of release, the Demon Slayer series has gained massive popularity internationally. From non-anime watchers to anime enthusiasts, all have seen the anime. And due to its interesting, often heart-wrenching plot, and mesmerizing animation, there is no reason not to be a fan of this. But as you get into the Demon Slayer world, you’ll find yourself curious about the Muzan’s Demon Moons. So here we have explained and given the Demon Slayer Upper Moons list.
As you might already know, there are Twelve Demon Moons aka Twelve Kizuki. Now, they might be the strongest among all the demons, but not all are upper rank. There are only six Upper Demon Moons, whom you’ll find below.
Who Are the Six Upper Moons in Demon Slayer?
In the Demon Slayer world, Demon Moons are the strongest demon under the command of Demon King Muzan. They are divided into two groups. The upper and lower ranks. Upper rank are the Upper Moons consisting of:
- Kokushibo
- Doma
- Akaza
- Hantengu
- Gyokko
- Daki and Gyutaro
Upper Moons are a lot more powerful and often ruthless than the lower ranks. So much so that lower ranks are hunted by the Upper Moons. Due to this lower ones have been replaced many times. But that doesn’t mean that Upper Moons are irreplaceable. They have been replaced, though way less than the lower ones.
If you haven’t completed the anime, this might be a spoiler for you. So only read further if you have finished Entertainment District Arc. In the battle of the Entertainment District Arc, we see the death of Daki and Gyutaro. Since they are dead, they’ll have to be replaced.
Their replacement is not shown in any of the anime adaptations for now. But if you are still curious then this is his name. The one that replaces them is called Kaigaku. He is promoted to that position. You might know him from Zenitsu’s flashback.
