How to Solve Defiled Temple Moon Puzzle in Baldur’s Gate 3
You can solve the Defiled Temple Moon puzzle in Baldur’s Gate 3 by rotating the Moon plates on the floor. For that, you must turn the Moon dials according to the lunar phases in a specific pattern. If you want a hint, you can check out the Dwarf’s Poem that offers a clue for unlocking the door.
So, rotate the discs in the following order for solving the Moon puzzle in BG3:
- South Disc thrice
- West Disc once
- South Disc once
- North Disc once
- West Disc thrice
- East Disc twice
You must rotate the dials to have the full moon symbols on the top, and half moon symbols on the sides while no moons on the bottom at all. As you face towards the statue standing to the center of the Defiled Temple, spin the stone discs accordingly. No matter the order and times of spinning the Moon discs, we suggest placing the moons according to the lunar phases stated above.
But if you are unable to solve the Moon puzzle in BG3, you can also lockpick the nearby lever with perception checks. As you do so, it will unlock the door within the Defiled Temple. Once you open the door, you can continue completing the Find the Nightsong quest.
