Diablo Immortal – How To Defeat Vitaath The Shivering Death (Boss Guide)

Check out our guide on how to defeat Vitaath the Shivering Death in Diablo Immortal.

Diablo Immortal features a wide range of dungeons, activities, and raids that players won’t run out of grinding. Helliquary Raids are one of the activities that feature more challenging bosses and greater rewards. With these raids, you can also get permanent buffs to your build. Vitaath the Shivering Death is one of the most challenging bosses in Helliquary raids. Not to worry, here’s our guide on how to defeat Vitaath the Shivering Death in Diablo Immortal.

How to Defeat Vitaath in Diablo Immortal

Similar to the boss fights in Helliquary raids, the entire boss fight is divided into four phases. As you start with the boss fight, Vitaath will feature four different abilities. This boss fight can be difficult and tricky as she can summon some forces to join the fight. But with the right strategy and determination, you can indeed defeat this Helliquary raid boss.

You can unlock this Helliquary raid by defeating Lassal the Flame Spun in all three difficulty levels. You would also need to upgrade Helliquary to level 30 for unlocking this boss fight. Like all the raids, you need a group of eight players. The bigger the challenge, the better the rewards. So, let’s start with the first phase.

First Phase

  • One of the many abilities of Vitaath is that she can teleport anywhere throughout the platform.
  • So, make sure that you and your teammates maintain a safe distance.
  • With a maximum range, you and your teammates can inflict ranged attacks upon her.

Aside from the teleportation, these are the four attacks that she will use:

    • Icicle Zone – This ability inflicts four icy zones upon the platform. As she casts the spell, enormous icicles drop on the zones damaging the players in that zone.
    • Frontal Cone – With this attack, she will swing her icy sword to an 80 degree to damage players.
    • Frontal Line – She can cause multiple icicles in front of her to damage the players.
    • Ice Debuff – If you are hit by this attack, it can cause an ice debuff depleting your health bar.

Second Phase

  • As the second phase approaches, she will attack the players from the middle of the platform. And this is where the summoned help dive in.
  • With the depleting health bar, she will summon three of her clones, the Icy Clones.
  • Vitaath will be immune to any damage until these clones are alive. So, you should defeat these clones before attacking her.
  • There are two more clones that she can summon, Frozen Shade and Chilling Construct.
  • While the Frozen Shade can inflict ranged damage, the latter clone deals with close-ranged damage.
  • If you don’t deal with the summoned clones first, you might lose. Thus, make sure to communicate with your teammates and clear out these clones first.

Third Phase

  • When things start getting out of hand, Vittath will start with her Area of Effect attacks.
  • One of her AoE attacks emits icy waves from all directions. You and your teammates need to dodge these attacks.
  • In addition to that, she can also summon the clones of Frozen Shade to inflict more damage.

Fourth Phase

  • This phase will bring all the summoned forces into the fighting arena. Vitaath can also inflict the Icicle zone attack as well as different AoE attacks.
  • You need to switch to close-ranged attacks for this phase. But also make sure to deal with the clones before attacking Vitaath.

Once you defeat this boss, she will drop a treasure chest containing Scroia, Gold, and other rewards. You can also equip Frozen Wing of the Shivering Death for bonuses and special attributes. As you hit the Seal option, you get a +150 Offense rating and a +150 Defense rating. For the special attributes, you get an increased 20% Block Chance for Challenge Rifts.
