Hades is the titular character and the final boss in Hades, and is the father of Zagreus who possesses immense power, and defeating him is no easy task. There are a few things that you should keep in mind before you challenge him and our guide will help you to defeat Hades in Hades.
How To Beat Hades In Hades
It seems a bit of an oddity when you come up against the titular character of a game that also is the final boss fight of that said game.
Hades, the ruler of the underworld is one of the toughest opponents in all of gaming and not just Hades itself, his innumerous abilities will haunt you and if you’re careful will slice through you like a knife through butter.
Before you enter the Temple of Styx, you should take a look at some of the boons that are available to you in the game, these boons bestowed upon you by the Gods themselves will prove to be some of the best help and without them defeating Hades is impossible.
Also get the best build possible for Zagreus before getting into the battle, this is certainly one of the best and most difficult battles we’ve faced in gaming and it took us over 30 tries to get through. Use the Shield of Chaos to save yourself from his attacks.
There are two phases in which you will battle Hades, each phase will have its own advantages and disadvantages that you should be aware of.
Hades will attack you with some of the most powerful abilities that you will see in the game. Abilities like Boiling Blood, Spinning Scythe, Soul Vases, and Hellfire Laser are some of the most powerful attacks, and defending against them can prove to be difficult.
Phase One Hades Boss Fight
In phase one, your job is to kite him around the arena and keep some distance between you and the ruler of the underground. Hades can be lightning-fast in his attacks, so use your dodge skills and move around the arena as much as possible.
Keep a steady stream of attacks on Hades from a distance until he loses all his HP when he loses his health, he will regenerate and begin phase two of his attacks. Cause as much damage as you can before phase two begins and you might have some chance of defeating him.
Phase Two Hades Boss Fight
In phase two, Hades will bring out his big guns and come at you with attacks like Soul Vases. Make sure to dodge and do not get stuck in this attack as it might prove to be your death.
The next attack that you should be careful about is the Hellfire Laser, in this attack Hades will stop moving around and fire multiple lasers that spin around him causing destruction everywhere.
Use pillars to save yourself from all of his attacks that cannot be dodged. Make sure to still keep distance and then keep an eye out so that you do not get stunned, as this can lead to him summoning the Soul Vases to attack you.
Use Chilling Freeze and Decay on Hades whenever possible, as these enchantments will slowly keep taking Hades’ HP away while giving you some breathing space. Keep doing this and eventually, you will defeat Hades.
