How to Declare a War in Victoria 3
Firstly, it should be noted that you can not start a War like in any other game. A Nation that declares War becomes the most noticeable Nation all around the globe. Moreover, not everyone will be favoring your decision and that is why follow these simple instructions before declaring War in Victoria 3:
Diplomatic Plays
A Nation can achieve anything with its Diplomacy that it can’t achieve with War. Although, one needs a reason to engage in a battle with the opponent. Likewise, you need to use some Diplomatic Plays from the Diplomatic Lens menu. During this phase, the declaring Nation puts forward some demands. This is basically when both Nations become controversial. You can use various Diplomatic Plays against the nation you are interested in. Thereafter, it will only result either in a successful negotiation or a War.
Diplomatic Manoeuvring
In this phase, you can boost the factors that will lead to towards a potential War. Diplomatic Manoeuvring is considered the most important part while declaring a War in Victoria 3 as in this phase one can:
- Invite the other Interested Nations to their Support.
- Prepare their troops and Mobilize their Generals
- Send the battalions on the War Front to fuel up the War.
- Can adjust or add more demands before the Target Nation.
- Also, either one can Surrender or back off.
War
As soon as the Diplomatic Plays and Diplomatic Manoeuvring are over, the Countdown to War begins. Wherein before the Countdown ends, a Nation can either surrender, back off, or wait for the war. After the timer runs out of time, the War will be declared in Victoria 3. Make sure to properly utilize your troops so that you do not lose the Battle. Further, the only way to end the outbreak of the war is by:
- Offering the Target Nation a Peace Deal or Accepting one from them.
- Offering the Target Nation a White Peace Deal or Accepting one from them.
- Capitulate or make the Target Nation Capitulate.
