Baldur’s Gate 3: How to Get Dawnmaster’s Crest in BG3

The Dawnmaster’s Crest is one of the most powerful rewards available in Baldur’s Gate 3. While it may seem like another item to collect on your journey, the Crest is the key to unlocking one of the game’s most legendary weapons – the Blood of Lathander. This guide will show you how to get the Dawnmaster’s Crest in BG3.

How to Get Dawnmaster’s Crest in BG3

To obtain the Dawnmaster’s Crest, you must first find and place the ceremonial weapons on their proper pedestals around Rosymorn Monastery. Start by exploring the lower levels near the main entrance to trigger the “Find the Blood of Lathander” quest.

Make your way up through the boarded hole in the wall to reach the upper floors. Head north through the double doors to locate the stained glass room. Study the symbol window carefully, showing each weapon’s placement positions.

Ceremonial Weapons and Rusty Mace Locations

The first weapon, the Ceremonial Longsword, can be found already on its pedestal in the northwest corner of this room. To the east is a hole in the floor – jump over and enter the locked room ahead to find the Ceremonial Battleaxe beside a guardian enemy. Defeat it to claim the axe.

For the Ceremonial Warhammer, head to the rooftop eagle’s nest at the top of the monastery. Carefully sneak in and grab the hammer without alerting the eagles or preparing for battle. The final Rusty Mace rests below in a ground-floor room accessible from the main entrance or a cracked wall outside.

Return to the stained glass room and place each weapon on its corresponding pedestal as shown;

  • Longsword – Northwest
  • Battleaxe – Southwest
  • Warhammer – Northeast
  • Mace – Southeast

After that, a secret doorway will open in the north wall, holding a pouch. Inside is the coveted Dawnmaster’s Crest. To complete your quest, take the crest underneath the monastery to its proper resting place.
