Pokemon Crown Tundra: How To Catch Galarian Moltres

Get the legendary Galarian Moltres in Crown Tundra.

The latest DLC of Pokemon Sword and Shield brings many ancient legendary pokemon back to the game with different forms and types. Some of these legendary pokemon are the trio birds Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos who have returned in their new Galarian form. It is but obvious that you might want to catch these legendary birds and have them in your team. This guide is dedicated to catching Galarian Moltres in Pokemon Crown Tundra. However, we have also made a guide on how to catch Galarian Zapdos, if you want to read it.

You will first encounter the trio at the Dyna tree located towards the bottom of Crown Tundra. Once there, a short cutscene will start and then all the birds will fly away to different locations, and that’s where your task of catching Galarain Moltres in Crown Tundra begins.

How to Get Galarian Moltres in Crown Tundra

To catch Galarian Moltres in Crown Tundra, you will have to head back to the old Isle of Armor region. After the end of the cutscene, Moltres flies back to the Field of Honor and will keep flying over the beach. All you need to do is cut its flying path and battle. Once you defeat it, Meltros will be all yours.

The most difficult part of catching Galarian Moltres is not defeating it, instead of cutting its path, fascinating isn’t it? The flying path that Galarian Moltres follows is over the beach of Field of Honor, turning back to the dojo, and flying towards the Soothing Wetlands.

The best place to cut its path is when it is circling back to the Dojo. During this time, the height at which it is flying is low enough that it can notice you. Once it sees you around, Galarian Moltres will itself come to battle you. You can also use your cycle bell to catch the attention if needed.

That’s everything you need to know about how to catch Galarian Moltres in Pokemon Crown Tundra. Apart from these, you might also be interested in catching another legendary pokemon Regieleki or Regidrago. I have written “or” because you will get an option to choose between Regieleki or Regidrago. Here’s the path you will need to catch Regieleki or you can choose the alternate path to get Regidrago.
