While it is quite easy to change colors, it is a unique system and players will have to understand it before applying. There are six color regions on each animals you can color and they are marked from 0-5. While changing the color, you will need to provide the region your want to paint along with color or dye ID. Here’s how to use the Color ID Codes or Dye ID Codes in ARK:

    • Look at the Dinosaur you want to paint.
    • Now, open the Console and then enter “setTargetDinoColor region_number color_id_number“.
    • Once you drop the values for the region you want to paint and the color ID, you will be able to change the color of the dinosaur.
