There are many difficult quests in Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. But nothing quite matches the ‘Collect ‘Em All Quest’. Here, you are tasked with collecting Gwent cards: a fast-paced card game. You will have to gather at least 120 cards. This is by no means an easy task. But the even more frustrating part is that many players are unable to complete it because the quest fails after some time. In this guide, we’ll show you how to fix the Witcher 3 “Collect ‘Em All” Failed error.
Why is Witcher 3 “Collect ‘Em All” Failing? [Reasons]
There is no option in the game to check exactly which Gwent cards you have and how many are missing. This makes the quest much more difficult. This is why you will often get the Witcher 3 “Collect ‘Em All” Failed error. There are a grand total of 199 cards available. You will have to collect a single card of each type which sums up to 120 cards. The remaining 79 cards are duplicates. There are also atleast 12 missable cards.
If you choose to skip a side quest or choose a different action, there are chances that the “Collect ‘Em All” quest will fail for you. You won’t be able to play it again unless you have a manual backup save already. One instance where players miss out on these cards is during the A Matter of Life and Death side quest. Here, you’ll need to win the Gwent tournament that is being held there. You can win at least 2-3 unique cards here. If you miss out on it, the Witcher 3 “Collect ‘Em All” will fail.
To ensure that you don’t miss out on the other missable cards, we have prepared a list of the side quests you need to complete:
- A Matter of Life and Death
- High Stakes
- A Deadly Plot
- A Dangerous Game
- Shock Therapy
- Free the Claywich merchant
- Play with Lambert
