The infamous Tommy gun from the original Resident Evil 4 makes its return in the new remake under the name Chicago Sweeper. If you’ve played the original, then you must know how broken this gun is. With unlimited ammo, you can shred through your enemies in a matter of seconds. However, it’s not as easy as buying the fully upgraded weapon from the Merchant for Pesetas. In the remake, it’ll take more elbow grease to get it. So to help you out, this guide will tell you how to get the Tommy Gun in the RE4 remake.
How to Get Tommy Gun in Resident Evil 4 Remake
In Resident Evil 4 Remake, players can unlock the Chicago Sweeper gun by completing the campaign on Professional difficulty with an A Rank grade i.e. in 7 hours or less. To unlock the Professional difficulty, players must first complete the RE4 remake campaign on any difficulty.
- Once you unlock the Tommy Gun, head over to the Extra Content Shop in the Main Menu.
- Then, purchase the Chicago Sweeper for 1,000 CP and visit the nearest in-game typewriter to obtain it. However, the infinite ammo will cost you some Pesetas. The gun has five upgrade levels and you’ll need 10,000 Pesetas to upgrade the gun to the max.
- However, if you want to get unlimited ammo soon, then you can spend 30 Spinels at the merchant to get the Exclusive Upgrade Ticket. This will unlock the unlimited ammo feature in the Tommy Gun. Once you get this upgrade, the ammo capacity stat of the gun becomes redundant.
If you’re planning to speedrun this game, then the Chicago Sweeper is the best way to go about it. This gun can mow down enemies and bosses easily. Apart from taking them down in seconds, it holds them back with a barrage of bullets so you don’t take any damage.
