What are Charms and what do they do in Pokemon Legends Arceus?
Charms are a new Item that was introduced in Pokemon Legends Arceus. They are Consumables that are used when a certain attack, debuff, or item loss happens to the Player. There are three types of Charms that you can get in Pokemon Legends Arceus. They are:
- Survival Charm
- Tempting Charm
- Warding Charm
Each of these Charms has 5 variants that come in Blue, Purple, Red, Teal, & Yellow colors and they are indicated by the first letter of the color. For Example, Survival Charm B, Tempting Charm R, Warding Charm T, etc. Each Charm has a purpose that aids the players when attacked by wild Pokemon. The Survival Charm will toughen up the Player by decreasing the chances of Fainting in the Wild. You can still Faint but the chance is low. The Tempting Charm will prevent you from losing your Items when you Faint. The Charm is lost but it lets you keep your Items. The Warding Charm will protect the Player from getting afflicted by Status Conditions. Pokemons like Zubat and the like who have Status Moves can also affect Players. This Charm will protect you from it, once.
These Charms are very useful and should always be with you. Do keep in mind that they are consumed after their first use. So you will lose them if one of the three above scenarios happens to you.
How to Get & Use Charms in Legends Arceus?
You will be able to get Charms right from the get-go in Pokemon Legends Arceus. You will have to go to the North of Jubilife Village, to the right of the Training Grounds. Over there, you will find a Shrine and an NPC by the name Charm Lady Lucille. You can go to her and purchase the Charms from her in Pokemon Legends Arceus. Be careful as if you keep buying charms from her, the prices of them will start to ramp up. The next Charm will be more and more expensive. Although it gets expensive, it is worth taking as you will be able to upgrade them.
To use the Charms in Legends Arceus, you simply put them in your Satchel under Everyday Items. That is it, once they are in there, there are ready. Whenever Charm conditions will trigger, the Charms will get consumed and will provide their effect in Pokemon Legends Arceus. If they are not in that section then they will not work. This is true for the 3 of the Charm Types. That is all you have to do with the Charms in Pokemon Legends Arceus. If they do get consumed, then just go back to Charm Lady Lucille and you will be able to purchase them. Among the 3 Charms, the Warding Charm will be the best as you protect yourself at times when you could get Fainted.
