Everspace 2: How To Change Your Ships

Published Date :

Want to change ships in Everspace 2? With plenty of ships available, you might want to purchase a new one and take it out for a spin. Whether you make it your primary ship or not, there’s no harm in trying different ships to see which one’s the best for you. So, how can you switch between owned ships? Is there a game mechanic that lets you quickly swap ships on the go? Our guide below will show you how to switch to different ships in the game easily.

How to Change Ships in Everspace 2

swap between ships

You can change Ships in Everspace 2 only at your Home Base. Going to Rhodia II is the only way to swap your ships in the game. There is no other way to quickly change ships. You will have no other choice but to take the long travel back to your Homebase. This is a painstaking process but the game doesn’t have any other option. Some call it a poorly implemented game mechanic while others say that it helps the immersion stay intact.

With that being said, here is how you can switch between your owned ships

  1. First, head to your Homebase.
  2. If you’re on a PC, then press the “Z” and “C” keys to go through your list of ships.
  3. Players on Xbox Series S & X will need to press the “LT” and “RT” buttons to navigate through their ship collection.
  4. Lastly, PS5 users can press the “L2” and “R2” buttons to change ships.

Apart from that, you can also change ships by purchasing a new one from any ship dealer. These merchants are located in the Union system, Drake system, and so on. You will also encounter your first ship dealer at the Nephtys Plains Station on Ceto.

That’s all you need to know on how to change ships in Everspace 2. We hope you have learned how to switch between the ships that you own. Since you’re here, check out all the Cheats & Console Commands, how to unlock Crafting, & more in our Everspace 2 Guides section.
