In order to change your game name a.k.a your gamertag which is linked to your Xbox account in Halo Infinite, you will first have to download the Xbox app on your PC.

Once you install the said application, log into it with your relevant details and then click on your avatar. You will find the avatar towards the top right corner of your screen. Once you click on the said avatar, you will find a drop-down menu. Click on Settings here. You will be able to view all of the basic information about your account here. This also includes your gamertag.

To change the name, all you need to do is click on Change Gamertag. Doing so will open up your web browser. Here, you will receive a prompt to sign in to your Microsoft account. Once you do so, you will see a page where you can enter your new game name. After entering a new name, you will learn if the name is available or not. If it is available, you will be able to select it. However, if the name isn’t available, you will find a random number at the end of the name.
