The Rosymorn Monastery contains a tricky puzzle involving a large stained-glass window and several ceremonial weapons in Baldur’s Gate 3. To solve this puzzle, you must find and place the correct weapons on pedestals surrounding the window.
This can be challenging, as the weapons are hidden around the monastery. This guide will provide the locations of all ceremonial weapons to complete the Stained-Glass Window puzzle.
How to Solve Stained-Glass Puzzle and Find Ceremonial Weapons in BG3
You’ll come across a puzzle room on the second floor of Rosymorn Monastery that requires placing four ceremonial weapons onto altars. This room has a glass-stained ceiling depicting the four Dawnmasters of the monastery, with an altar and pedestal underneath each window.
When you first enter the room, you’ll notice the Ceremonial Longsword is already placed on Dawnmaster Welkinglory’s altar in the southern window. This weapon must remain here to complete the puzzle, so don’t remove it. That leaves you needing to find the other three ceremonial weapons hidden around the monastery— Ceremonial Warhammer, Ceremonial Battleaxe, and Rusty Mace.
Ceremonial Battleaxe Location
Return through the passage and turn left after leaving the room with the stained glass ceiling. Pick the lock to open the enchanted door.
There is a Guardian of Faith in this room. When you enter its circle it will become hostile, so be prepared for a tough fight. To take the Ceremonial Battleaxe from the Guardian of Faith’s corpse, defeat it.
You must first destroy the bed blocking the doorway before jumping over the cupboard to enter the room.
Ceremonial Warhammer Location
You’ll notice vines coming down from the ceiling near the entrance when you leave the Enchanted Entrance room after receiving the battleaxe.
Climb the vines to get to the roof. On the roof, you can find a massive nest containing some dead goblins. To find the Ceremonial Warhammer, search the nest.
Rusty Mace Location
Return to the room with the stained glass ceiling and jump through the broken window onto the shattered floor below. Enter the small door at the end of the hallway on the ground floor. The Rusty Mace is by the window next to the rubble.
Once all four ceremonial weapons are placed on their respective altars, the puzzle will be completed and open the way forward in Rosymorn Monastery. Return to Dawnmaster Vaseid to complete his quest.
