In Scarlet and Violet, you can get many Pokemon including the fan favorite Rotom. What makes the Electric/Ghost dual-type special is the ability to change its elemental type. So it’s natural that players want to add this Pokemon to their Pokedex. However, this Pokemon is a rare spawn and you have to be at a specific location to find it. If you are struggling to find Rotom’s location then look no further. In this article, we will tell you how to catch Rotom in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
How to Catch & Get Rotom in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
In Scarlet & Violet, you can find and catch Rotom near Levincia Town and Porto Marinada. Levincia Town is located in the East Province (Area Two). Rotom spawns in the Grasslands to the West of this town. They will be around level 20 so use a Pokemon around a similar level to catch it.
If you are in the West Province, you can head to Porto Marinada to catch this Pokemon. You can find Rotom near the Porto Marinada Lighthouse or in the grassy area around it. Since they spawn so rarely, you can eat Sandwiches with Ghost or Electric Encounter Meal Power. Once you catch this Pokemon, you can change its form by using the Rotom Catalogue.
How to Find Rotom Catalogue
To get Rotom Catalogue, head over to the Auction House in Porto Marinada. Look for shops that feature this Catalogue and interact with it. Then, you can bid against other trainers to get this item. So make sure you farm a lot of Poke Dollars beforehand. The items featured in this Auction House randomly change so if the Catalogue is not there, you can revisit it after a day. Once you get your hands on this item, you can change Rotom’s form into the following:
- Microwave oven: Electric/Fire-type
- Washing Machine: Electric/Water-type
- Refrigerator: Electric/Ice-type
- Electric fan: Electric/Flying-type
- Lawn mower: Electric/Grass-type
Despite having no evolutions, this Pokemon can be a great addition to the team. Because of its Levitate ability, it is immune to most Ground-type attacks. Moreover, with the Ghost elemental type, it is immune to Fighting and Normal-type attacks.
