Players can get the Ashcloud Archerfish in Roslit Bay during the Ashfall Event. This event-specific fish thrives in foggy weather conditions, regardless of the time of day or season, making it a sought-after catch for all anglers during this period. However, it can be caught during any weather with a lesser chance of appearance.

To successfully catch the Ashcloud Archerfish, it’s recommended to use Coal as bait, as this matches its fiery nature. The other baits that can be used are Seaweed and Deep Coral. Players should be prepared for a challenging experience; upon hooking this fish, a significant 90% reduction in reeling progress speed is inflicted. Using fishing rods with high control and resilience stats is needed because the movement is very erratic.

If you have the Abyssal Specter Rod, you get a whopping 70% Resilience, but other rods like the Heaven’s rod, King’s Rod, Depthseeker, Seraphic Rod and even Rod of the Forgotten Fang can come in handy.

however, you can use enchantments to increase this stat: Resilient (+35% resilience) or Mystical (+45% resilience). Mystical is an exalted enchantment that can be obtained by using an Exalted Relic, which is different from the Enchant Relic.

The Ashcloud Archerfish has various sizes, with weights ranging from 754 kg to an impressive 4,627 kg, and an average weight of approximately 1,200 kg. In terms of in-game currency, it offers an average of 18,000 C$ per catch. Additionally, catching this fish provides 6,000 base XP points at once, marking a good contribution to their progression within the game.
