How to Get Candy in 99 Nights in the Forest

Updated Date :

If you’re playing 99 Nights in the Forest during its Halloween event, you’ve probably noticed players rushing around collecting candies. They’re an important event currency that lets you unlock special Halloween items, cosmetics, and event rewards. But how exactly do you get candy in this spooky forest? Here’s what you need to know.

How to Get Candy in 99 Nights in the Forest

Here are all the main ways you can collect candies efficiently:

1. Ask Happy for Candy

In the lobby, you can interact with Happy, the event NPC (Pumpkin Halloween guy). Follow a specific dialogue path to receive three candies:

  1. “I have a question.”
  2. “Who are you?”
  3. “How do you stay so happy?”
  4. “Way too deep man, can I have some candy?”

This can only be done once per event, so make sure to claim it early.

2. Redeem the Code “happyhalloween”

Enter the code happyhalloween in the in-game code section to instantly get 10 candies. Codes often expire, so check regularly for new ones during the event.

3. Trick or Treat

Players can go Trick or Treating to earn candies but for that, you need Halloween Candles. Once you have them, follow these steps:

  • Players can trick-or-treat at any house during night time. Drop a candle near the door, then knock once night begins. Knocking only works after dark.
  • When you knock, the homeowner will take a few seconds to decide whether to give you a trick or a treat.
  • If they choose treat, you’ll receive a reward.
  • If they choose trick, a small prank happens but you’ll still get 3 candies (or 4 if you’re using the Trick or Treater class, which also increases your chance of getting a treat).
  • Any candies dropped during trick-or-treating will be automatically collected after 40 seconds if left on the ground.

4. Explore and Scavenge

Candies are sometimes hidden around the lobby area. Walk around, explore corners, or search behind decorations in the lobby, especially near event setups, to find bonus candy drops.

5. Farm Through Combat

trick or treater class

For long-term farming, progress to the Volcanic Biome. Equip upgraded armor and weapons, and defeat Cultists or complete Cultist Raids to earn Halloween Candles, which indirectly contribute to candy farming. Using the Trick or Treater class helps because when you completely upgrade it, the class gets a higher chance of getting treats instead of tricks. This leads to getting more candles from enemies and chests.
