CoD Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Not Starting Fix (PC & Consoles)

How to Fix the Campaign not Starting issue in CoD MW2

The reason you get the Campaign not Starting error is you could be missing its add-ons. So while installing the game you should ensure you check the Campaign packs add-ons. Here is the fix for this issue and some workarounds if you already have the campaign add-ons installed.

• Install Campaign Add-ons:
  • PC
    • For Steam & Battle.net clients you need to install the game.
  • Xbox
    1. Go to My Games & Apps then choose Manage Updates.
    2. Here, click on Updates and open MW2
    3. Click update.
    4. Now, go back to Games and open CoD Modern Warfare 2.
    5. Click on it and select Manage installation.
    6. Make sure you check the Campaign add-on for this game.
    7. Finally, click on save changes.
  • PlayStation
    1. Go to the Game Library and then your Collection.
    2. Open CoD Modern Warfare 2.
    3. While playing on PS5 install the PS5 version of the game.
    4. Click on Download and it will bring up the add-ons that you can install while downloading. Check both the Campaign Packs here. You can install these add-ons.

• Restart the game: Many console players have found that repeatedly restarting the game eventually gets the campaign to work for them. PC players can even try restarting their clients that are Steam and Battle.net along with the for better results.
• Reinstall the game: Players can remove the game completely and try the first step. Make sure you check the Campaign add-ons while installing, in case there was some issue during your first installation, this time the add-ons should install properly.
