Hogwarts Legacy: Cache In The Castle Treasure Location

Can’t find the Cache in the Castle treasure location in Hogwarts Legacy? Well, this side quest is tricky which is why we’re here to help. Players are tasked with searching for three landmarks within the castle which can be quite tough to find. This guide will give you a walkthrough of how to find the 3 locations and completing the quest.

How to Find Cache in the Castle Treasure Location in Hogwarts Legacy

The Cache in the Castle quest starts when you meet Arthur Plummly in the Astronomy Wing section of Hogwarts. Once you go and interact with him, he will hand you a treasure map that has three landmarks which are:

  • A Rhinoceros Skeleton
  • A Dragon Fountain
  • A Painting

Your task is to find all the landmarks and then meet up with Arthur again. Here is how to find them one by one:

How to Find the First Landmark from Arthur’s Treasure Map in Hogwarts Legacy

  1. After you receive the treasure map, head three floors down by taking the stairs.
  2. Here, you’ll be able to see a Rhinoceros skeleton.
  3. Walk a little closer to interact with it after which you will receive a waypoint for the second landmark.

Find the Second Landmark from Arthur’s Treasure Map

  1. For the second part of the Cache in the Castle Treasure location in Hogwarts Legacy, go down a pair of stairs again until you see a huge double door.
  2. Upon opening the door, you will find yourself in the Transfiguration Courtyard.
  3. Your second landmark, the Dragon Fountain will be right in between.
  4. Go near it and you’ll soon hear your character saying, “I’m getting closer”.

Find the Third Landmark from Arthur’s Treasure Map

  1. Go past the fountain until you see another huge double door.
  2. Once you’re through the doors, take the first right and climb the stairs.
  3. Now, you’ll be able to see a painting of a house covered in snow across a flight of stairs.
  4. Use your “Accio” spell on the handle at the very top of the painting.
  5. A door will now appear with a treasure chest hidden behind it.
  6. Loot the item from the chest and make your way back to Arthur Plummly.

After you meet up with Arthur, the quest will now be completed, and you will receive the Authentic Historian’s Uniform outfit as a reward for your troubles.
