Everyone’s favorite Video Game Awards announcer has found his place in Hideo Kojima’s masterpiece, his character name is Ludens Fan and you can find him early on in the game. To find Ludens you will have to go to the west of Capital Knot City in the Eastern Region.
One of the biggest late-night TV show host and a veteran of the genre, Conan O’Brien shot his role for his cameo when he traveled to Japan as a part of his Conan Without Borders segment. You can find him as the Wandering MC at the Central Region at the Cosplayer’s home in Chapter 3 and after talking to him he will offer you his Otter hat.
Sam Lake has been a veteran video game writer who has worked on projects like Control, Alan Wake and Max Payne. His cameo is brief and his character is called Veteran Porter. You will find him around the Timefall Farm in Episode 3.
A great manga artist who loves to work with Hideo Kojima, Ito’s character does not voice himself and we have seen that for a few other characters as well. You can find him in the Central Region when you look for the Engineer.
Hideo Kojima is a fan of filmmaking and has included plenty filmmakers in Death Stranding one of whom is Jordan Vogt-Roberts, his character is called the Film Director and you will find him southeast of the Distribution Center south of Lake Knot City.
Legendary British filmmaker known for his films like the Hot Fuzz, Baby Driver and Scott Pilgrim vs The World. His character is called Thomas Sutherland and you can find him at the Distribution Center just south of Lake Knot City.
Daichi Miura is a musician and Kojima is a huge admirer of his work and as such his character is called The Musician, it is great as he plays an almost real-life representation of himself in Death Stranding, you can find him at the southwest of the Distribution Center west of Capital Knot City.
The head of PlayStation also managed to get a sneak cameo in, which is a fun because as of now Death Stranding is only available on the PS4. Death Stranding will be made available for the PC but not until 2020. You can find him at he Central Region southwest of Lake Knot City.
Be it the current world or the devasted world shown in Death Stranding, fashion is always a key point and Kojima made a point of having his favorite designer make a cameo in Death Stranding. You can find Errolson Hugh as UCA medic Alex Weatherstone in the Weather Station.
Famitsu is a well known and respected Japanese video game magazine and its former Editor-in-Chief gets a small part in Death Stranding. Being a long-time gamer it is nice to see Kojima pay his respects to the greats who have seen the video game industry progress over the years. You can find Hirokazu Hamamura as the Collector in south of the Distribution Center South of Lake Knot City.
Manabu Makime is a well known and well respected novelist in Japan and it seems like Hideo Kojima is a huge fan of his work. Manabu Makime’s character is called the Novelist’s Son in Death Stranding.
Tommy Wirkola is another filmmaker to find himself in Death Stranding, he is famously known for his horror-comedy Dead Snow and the Hollywood film Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters. His character is called Phillip North in Death Stranding.
