GTA V Best Settings on Steam Deck
As Steam Deck supports GTA 5, it will run the game smoothly without any problems. However, for a smoother experience, Reddit user, u/VanishedMC, shared some settings. These settings allowed the player to run the game in 60FPS while looking pretty great. To change your settings, head over to the Graphics tab on your Settings.
Then, try out changing these settings for a smoother gameplay experience:
- DirectX Version: DirectX11 (lower if needed)
- Screen Type: Fullscreen (Alternatively, you can choose the Windowed Borderless for maximum FPS)
- Resolution/Aspect Ratio: Set to native Resolution.
- FXAA: Off
- MSAA: Off
- NVIDIA TXAA: Off
- VSync: On
- Population Density: 50%
- Population Variety: 100%
- Distance Scaling: Maximum
- Texture Quality: High
- Shader Quality: Normal
Shadow Quality: Normal - Reflection Quality: Normal
- Reflection MSAA: Off
- Water Quality: Normal
- Particles Quality: Normal
- Grass Quality: Normal
- Soft Shadows: Soft
- PostFX: High
- Motion Blur/Depth of Field: According to your preference.

As mentioned earlier, you can also run GTA V in higher settings. But that can result in a bit lower FPS. Regardless, we suggest choosing the graphics settings according to your preference.
