Runes can be earned by opening chests, killing enemies, or even by vising vendors, you can get a ton of great Runes at vendors. All you have to do is visit a vendor and check for the runes available for purchase. If none of the runes are to your liking, you will need to then go out for a quest and return back around an hour later.
This will replenish the Runes that the vendor had and different vendors will provide you with different runes in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The more you progress in the game, the higher your chances of getting Major or Great Runes at vendors.
