Phasmophobia: Best Hiding Spots On All Maps

Who you gonna call when you are the ghostbuster?

Phasmophobia by Kinetic Games is a multiplayer detective survival game in the horror genre. The game involves players sneaking around a haunted neighborhood with various different equipment to detect paranormal activities trying to identify the esoteric entities that reside within. However, even the ghostbusters have to run and hide when the evil spirits are hunting them back. Apart from the new maps, ghost and the new gamemode, the recent Nightmare Update reworked a lot of maps patching out cheeky door hiding spots that players had been exploiting. This was done to make the game more intense so more players try to scourge the house for the intended hiding spots while on the chase. In this guide we have listed down all the best hiding spots in Phasmophobia currently, so that you can be prepared.

All Best Hiding Spots on Each Phasmophobia Map

If you’ve been playing Phasmophobia for a while, you may have come across players hiding in glitched cubbies behind doors, or even done it yourself at some point. Now, the latest update seems to address this playstyle as it reduces any stakes or fear factor when it comes to escaping the supernatural. The developers, however, have added a few new hiding spots that players need to work their way to, making the game more interesting.

An important thing to remember while heading to these spots is that they are not always completely safe. You need to be careful and turn off any equipment, such as flashlights, before going to the spot in case you are being chased. This is because any alarming equipment that ghosts can notice will expose your location to them.

Willow Street House

  • Garage: One of the best spots here is behind the tool rack next to the washing machines. Another great spot is tucked behind the colorful boxes on the side of the pickup truck.
  • Basement: The safest spot here is to go far back into the basement until you find two trash cans that can completely cover you.
  • Bedroom: This is the room far back with a pair of sneakers on the floor. You need to hide behind the wardrobe adjacent to the big chair.

Edgefield Street House

  • Dining Room: Here you need to sneak behind the dining table in the spot next to the window pane.
  • Basement: The only spots here are the two lockers out in the open. You need to be careful with this spot since ghosts can open lockers if they see you go into one.
  • Upstairs: This is an important spot since most of the time the ghost room is one of the many rooms on the upper floor and you may get hunted down on entering it. You need to find the empty cabinet in the hallway to the different rooms and hide in it.

  • Kitchen: Head towards the sliding door for the balcony and just before it you will find an effective hiding spot next to the refrigerator.
  • Living Room: This hiding spot is to the right corner of the living room, tucked behind some colorful boxes and window curtains.
  • Garage: There are multiple hiding spots in the garage area mainly including the four empty lockers.
  • Hallway: More specifically, the hallway right outside the Garage door where you can find a Piano. You can tuck away in the corner next to the curtains behind the Piano.

Grafton Farmhouse

  • Electric Panel Room: You can hide behind the boxes or behind the opened door.
  • Laundry Room: Here, you can sneak away behind the opened door or in the corner next to the washing machine.
  • Storage Area: This small room is extended from the master bedroom. Once you enter, you will find a stack of boxes with a toy rabbit on them. These boxes provide for some good cover when you need to escape a hunt down.
  • Upstairs: This spot is in the hallway on the upper floor. You can hide behind the brown chair near the window for some good cover. This is potentially the best hiding spot on this map in Phasmophobia as the ghost rarely ever roams around in hallways.

Bleasdale Farmhouse

  • Garage: When you enter the Garage area you will see two empty lockers that you can hide in. If due to RNG, these lockers are blocked, you can also tuck in the corner next to the lockers and near the curtains.
  • Foyer: This sneaky spot is situated right below the staircase to the upper floor. You will see a stack of boxes next to a large tall-case clock under the stairwell in the foyer area. All you need to do is sneak around the boxes behind the clock and you should be safe.
  • Attic: There are a couple of hiding spots on the top-most floor of this map. The best one being behind the set of wooden divider panels on the right of the staircase. You can also hide behind the big gray trash can in the corner.

Tanglewood Street House Best Hiding Spots

  • Hallway: This is a standard closet hiding area right in the hallway between two rooms. You can spot this one right away when you first enter the house.
  • Basement: This is a door glitch spot that has not been patched in the new update. You can clip through walls by squeezing in between the opened basement door and the walls and avoid being attacked by the ghost. Although, be cautious as this may be fixed in any future updates.
  • Nursery: This the last of the set of rooms you can find on the left corridor upon entering. You can hide in the corner next to the crib.

Prison

  • Waiting Area: This is the first area after you enter. There is a double locker set that you can use to hide.
  • Cafeteria: You will find a set of 4 trash cans forming a cubby behind them where you can hide. However, the cafeteria is a very wide area so you ought to be careful.
  • Infirmary: You can find this room up the stairs and then go into the rooms to your right. You will find a double locker set tucked behind a big blue curtain that helps obstruct direct sight making it a perfect hiding spot in Phasmophobia for a chase.

Brownstone High School

  • Library: This room is the first room to your right after the lobby area. You hide behind the bookshelves at the far corner of the room. The other bookshelves also offer good obstruction to break direct line-of-sight during a chase.
  • Classroom: The hiding spots in the classrooms can be tricky. There’s only some classrooms on the map that offer safe places to hide, such as behind filing cabinets or shelves in a corner. You can mostly use these to break line-of-sight with the taller desks during a chase.
  • Bathrooms: These are essentially your best bet when it comes to hiding in the Brownstone High School. The bathroom stalls offer a safe haven if the ghost is nearby. There are a total of 4 bathrooms on each floor, 2 on each side of the corridor.

  • Small Tents: As of the new update, you can now open the small tents to use as hiding spots. These are potentially the best hiding spots as the ghosts usually don’t open them if they don’t see you go in them. However they can be tricky to open so make sure to open them all while exploring.
  • Storage Tent: These are the tents with tables and storage boxes in them. You can hide behind the table so the ghosts can’t spot you.
  • Cabin: This hiding spot is sometimes RNG but you can find a set of cooler boxes on the outside porch of the Cabin in the North part of the map. You can tuck behind the cooler boxes and hope the ghosts don’t see you going back there.

Those are the best hiding spots in all the maps in Phasmophobia. Remember, hiding from a chasing ghost involves less of actually hiding and more of avoiding direct line-of-sight and juking or escaping from the ghost nearby.
