Best Controller Settings for Overwatch 2

We have compiled all the controller settings best suited and efficient for players. We have divided it into three main criteria and they are:

  • Aim Settings 
  • Gyro Settings
  • Reticle Settings

Aim Settings

  • Horizontal Sensitivity: 90+
  • Vertical Sensitivity: 75+


You can experiment with the below settings. But we suggest applying these settings only if they suit your playstyle. As you expand the Advanced settings, here are the settings you will find:

  • Aim Assist Strength: 96 (We suggest turning it on even if you have the best aim)
  • Aim Assist Window Size: 70+
  • Aim Assist Legacy Mode: Off
  • Aim Assist Ease-In: 0-20
  • Aim Smoothing: 95
  • Aim Ease-In: 20-30
  • Invert Vertical Look: Off
  • Invert Horizontal Look: Off
  • Vibration: On or Off (This setting depends on your use. For professional players, this could be a distraction.)
  • Switch Movement and Look Sticks: Off
  • Legacy Sticks: Off
  • Aim Technique: Exponential Ramp or Linear Ramp

Gyro Settings

  • Gyro Aiming: Off
  • Gyro Aiming Aim Assist: On
  • Gyro option Presets: Custom


  • Invert Gyro-Aiming Pitch Axis: Off
  • Invert Gyro-Aiming YAW Axis: On
  • Invert Gyro-Aiming Roll Axis: Off
  • Gyro-Aiming Pitch Axis Sensitivity: 0
  • Gyro-Aiming YAW Axis Sensitivity: 75
  • Gyro-Aiming ROLL Axis Sensitivity: 30
  • Disable Gyro While Using Stick: On

Reticle Settings in Overwatch 2

  • Type: Crosshairs


Similar to Gyro settings, we suggest applying these settings according to your playstyle. You can expand the Advanced section to find the following settings:

  • Show Accuracy
  • Color
  • Thickness
  • Crosshair Length
  • Center Gap
  • Opacity
  • Outline Opacity
  • Dot Size
  • Dot Opacity
  • Scale with Resolution

Apart from these settings, we recommend experimenting and trying out different settings yourselves. This includes your Aim, Aim-assist, Gyro, and Reticle settings.
