How to Find the Belome Temple Key in Super Mario RPG
You can find the Belome Temple key located in Monstro Town on top of the roof of the house. You can get to Monstro Town after beating Belome boss and clearing the Belome Temple area. Keep on following the path to reach the Land’s Edge Cliffside where you can spot the key above the second door. But since it is placed on the top ledge, you must knock the treasure key down on the ground.
Here’s how to make the Belome Temple treasure key fall down:
- Head inside the second house where you will meet Thwomp, Kobold, and Pirhana Plant.
- Interact and speak with Thwomp which will result them in smashing the ground.
- Talk to Thwomp eight times and exhaust all dialogue options. The Belome Temple key placed on top of the house will fall on the ground as a result.
- Then, exit the house and pick up the key.
- Finally, make your way to the Belome Temple and use the key.
How to Get to Belome Temple (Location)
You can get to the Belome Temple by progressing the main quests in the campaign and reaching Land’s End. To do so, follow the Warrior Ants into the sand tornado to reach the underground. Since it’s a part of the main campaign, there is no way to miss out on this location. So, keep on completing the story quests to reach this part.
How To Use Belome Temple Key in Super Mario RPG
You can use the Belome Temple key in Mario RPG by returning to the Dog Statue. For that, you can head to the north of Monstro Town and jump the Smiley Face spring. As you reach the Belome Temple, jump on the Smiley Face spring again and climb on the yellow block. This will elevate you to the top where you can find the dog statue.
Now, you must jump up the statue to get your fortune read out. This indicates the next room in the Temple. So, here’s the fortune you want to get to the Belome Temple treasure room:
- Sorry. I’m not accepting visitors past my bedtime.
As soon as you get this fortune, head over to the next room to get to the treasure room. But note that the fortunes are based on RNG, so you might not get the same fortune. In that case, you can exit the room and jump on the statue to get the above fortune.
What is Inside the Belome Temple Treasure Room?
You will meet a Golden Dog guarding the room as you enter it. As you interact and speak to him, you need to give him the Temple key. Then, you can find and collect plentiful items surrounding the treasure room. So, here are the following rewards you can collect in this room:

- Max Mushrooms
- Fire Bomb
- Royal Syrup
- Flower Tabs
