You will come across Heimdall and Gulltoppr during the Creatures of Prophecy quest in Vanaheim. After a short cutscene, the fight against this beast will start. If you know how Gulltoppr’s attacks work, you can beat it. Here are the moves it uses in this fight:
- Bifrost Blasts: While fighting Gulltoppr, Heimdall will attack you with his Bifrost Blasts. Avoid these blasts at any cost as they deplete a decent amount of your health.
- Bifrost Explosions: Heimdall will charge the beast with Bifrost and release an unblockable wave. Avoid this attack by backing off of the explosion area.
- Melee Swipes: The beast itself will attack you with swipes that can be blocked, dodged, or parried. Watch out for the yellow rings and parry the attack to stagger the beast.
- Head Butt: Gulltoppr will charge at you with a head butt. This is a blue ring attack that you can interrupt with a shield strike.
- Charge Attack: Gulltoppr will charge you with an unblockable attack. Move out of its way to avoid heavy damage.

You can beat Gulltoppr by chipping away at its huge health bar and dodging its unstoppable attacks. Use this window to deal heavy damage to the beast. Spartan Rage is a good way to instantly deal a lot of damage. If you are hit by a Bifrost Blast then avoid any hits till the effect of Bifrost wears away.
