Overwatch 2 Bastion Removed: When Will He Return?

Updated Date :

Blizzard is having a rough time processing all the things that went wrong for them in the past few weeks. It’s only been a little while and Overwatch has experienced its worst nightmares. From a DDoS attack during its launch to some unintended bugs obstructing pre-paid users from logging in using their phone numbers. The workload on developers has now been increased as things just got even messier. Some unexpected bug forced the Developers to remove two of the most iconic Damage Heroes from the game. Unfortunately, Blizzard has temporarily removed Bastion and Torbjorn from Overwatch 2 to fix some bugs causing havoc in the game. Check out this guide to know what happened and what was the main reason behind their call-off from the OW2.

Why Bastion is Removed from Overwatch 2?

Bastion Removed Temporarily from Overwatch 2

Shortly after the launch of the game, this game-breaking bug actually made both Bastion and Torbjorn overpowered. To be specific, players with access to both of these Heroes got master control as the bug provided unlimited Ultimate Abilities. Bastion’s Artillery and Torbjorn’s Overload abilities became limitless due to this bug in Overwatch 2.

Bastion was able to fire multiple Missiles on the battlefield causing heavy wreckage due to this bug. Whereas, Torbjorn’s Overload ability gave him extra armor and mobility. Players noticed these bugs and it took it over to the internet and developers took no time to look into this matter. On 10th October 2022, there was a tweet made by the developers stating that Bastion & Torbjorn will be removed temporarily.

When will Bastion Return?

A recent update from Blizzard’s Community Manager has given hope to the players regarding the return of Bastion in the game. It is to be noted that the developers are planning for Bastion to return on October 25th, 2022. If things go well, then we will fortunately get to see them in the roster back again.

That’s why Torbjorn and Bastion are gone from Overwatch 2 for a while. If you found this guide helpful, then make sure to check out our other OW2 guides.
