At the end of the week, Square Enix gave us a fresh trailer for the upcoming platformer Balan Wonderworld. The first chapter of the story takes center stage.
With Balan Wonderworld, Square Enix announced a few months ago a 3D platform that will result from a collaboration with an old friend.
We’re talking about Sonic creator Yuji Naka, who will publish his new project together with the Japanese publisher. At the end of the week, Square Enix and Yuji Naka gave us a fresh trailer for Balan Wonderworld, which focuses on the first chapter of the title. According to official information, the story of the platformer will be composed of twelve chapters.
“Peek through the curtains of BALAN WONDERWORLD for a glimpse at the first of Twelve different tales that await our stars in Wonderworld. Meet Jose, a diligent farmer, and learn of his trials against the storm that swept away his life’s work,” the developers add to the story of Balan Wonderworld.
According to the developer, the game transports you into a world in which you can make use of over 80 outfits with which you are granted versatile skills. The skills associated with the costumes range from the ability to swing yourself high in the air to attacks that can remove heavy obstacles from the world.
Balan Wonderworld will be released on March 26, 2021, for PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
