When you are playing Sifu you should always avoid throws of your enemies. And while the process of avoiding them is easy in theory, you should keep a few things in mind when trying it. So in this guide let us take a look at how to avoid throws in Sifu.
How to Avoid Throws in Sifu
There are two ways to avoid Throws in Sifu.
- Dodge the enemy: This is first on this list as it is the recommended way to avoid taking damage and getting thrown. You can dodge by pressing the R2 button on your controller, or the shift key on your keyboard. But just pressing the button isn’t enough, you need to time your dodge as well. The best time to dodge is when the arms of the enemy begin glowing. You should always try to dodge the enemy as this is the best way to evade enemy attacks.
- Parry the throws: Parrying is a solution if you have your muscle memory all trained. You can parry an enemy attack by pressing the L1 button on your controller or by pressing the space key o your keyboard at the perfect time. Just like the dodge, your parrying should also be well-timed. And in the case of parry, you can say it is almost frame perfect. So when you see the arms are glowing of the enemy and are about to hit you press the Parry button. When you time it correctly you will avoid their throw.
Unlike the usual enemies who are fast but deal less damage, these are the exact opposite. The large enemies in the game will throw you. Their goal is to inflict heavy damage whenever possible. If you do end up getting thrown then your HP will get reduced by half.
