To take on tougher waves of enemies, you must know how to ascend Units in Anime Vanguards because this ascension will boost their base stats, which is crucial for building a powerful team. Here’s how you can get started with upgrading!
How to Ascend Units in Anime Vanguards
- When you get into the game’s lobby, find and interact with Kokashi, who is the Ascensions NPC.
- He will tell you this: “To ascend, one must be willing to sacrifice. Offer what you hold dear and be reborn in greater power.” This means that you need to be ready to “sacrifice” a Mythic unit because you can only ascend units of this rarity.
- If you fulfill the requirement, click on Ascend.
- A new window will appear where you can add the Unit you want to ascend.
- The materials you need for the specific character’s ascension will be shown on the pop-up. For example, it can be Skin Patch (Mythic) which is (strangely) Cultivated DNA from a high rank shinobi, Senzu Bean, etc.
- Note that you should have a duplicate of the Unit you are trying to ascend and so, ascension can be quite a grind. If you have all the resources, you can ascend the character more than once.
- Make sure to check the Preview button to know how the Unit is going to get upgraded.
How to Get Better Units without Ascension in Anime Vanguards?
If you don’t have a Mythic, you can still get better statistics (hopefully) by enrolling.
Find Cyan the State Reroll NPC and interact with him. To reroll a unit’s substats, you need Stat Chips which can be earned from Challenges which also drop other rewards like Trait Rerolls and Rainbow Essence Stone which is required to evolve a unit. However, remember that rerolling can also decrease your unit’s stats based on their rank.
Evolution of Units will also make them better but for that, you have to craft Essence Stones of various colors. If you fulfill the requirements, you can then evolve a Unit such as ‘Vogita Super’ to ‘Vogita Super (Awakened)’.
