How To Approach Animals In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Amongst the many features of Disney Dreamlight Valley, the cutest feature of the game is the Critters. These tiny animals can become your companions. You can take them with you in your adventure throughout the game. But for that, you will need to approach them and feed them their favorite food twice. Although some animals are easy to approach some may require effort and often they run or hide. Hence, this guide about how to approach animals in Disney Dreamlight Valley will help you to get one.

How to Approach Animals in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

There are 8 different Critters found around the Valley they are:

  • Squirrel
  • Rabbit
  • Raccoon
  • Crocodile
  • Fox
  • Sea Turtle
  • Sun Bird

  • Squirrels are the easiest approachable animals. All you need is to run into them and click the interact button.
  • To Approach Bunnies or Rabbits you will need to play tag with them. They will run and you will need to chase them 3 times and they will stop, that’s when you can use the interact button to approach them.
  • Also, foxes play a similar tag game just like rabbits when you approach them, chase them 3 times and they will be ready to be approached.
  • Raccoons are tricky to approach. You need patience while approaching them. Approaching Raccoons is like playing red light-green light. Wait for them to sit on their hind legs and don’t move if they are standing or they will run away. Do this until you are close enough and they will be ready to interact.
  • Just like Raccoons, Crocodiles are also approachable in the same manner. The only difference is to stop moving when their eyes are up.
  • Sea Turtles are the shyest to approach. As soon as you get close to them they hide in their shell. Wait for some time there and let them come out of their shell and then they can be approached using the interacting button.
  • Just like Squirrels, Sun Birds are easily approachable. Just run into them and press the interact button to approach them.
  • Ravens also don’t need much effort. Get close to them and let them hover and take 3 rounds around your head. Once they complete 3 rounds hit the interact button to approach them.

Approach Animals in Dreamlight Valley

Each critter has its favorite food. Feed them their favorite food twice to make them your companion. The favorite food for the critters is as mentioned below:

  • Squirrels – Peanuts and Apples
  • Rabbits – Carrots
  • Foxes – White Surgeon
  • Raccoons – Blue Berries
  • Crocodiles – lobster
  • Sea Turtles – Sea Weed
  • Sun Birds – Flowers with colors similar to their feather colors
  • Ravens – Any 5-Star meal
