Upon entering the old fortress, you will hear a voice on the radio. You have to now get to the radio in Amnesia: Rebirth but it isn’t so easy. There will be multiple rooms you have to go through in order to reach it. You have to basically solve two puzzles to get to your objective. Here’s how to do it.
How to Solve Elevator Puzzle Guide (Lift and Pulley Fort Puzzle Solution)
First, you have to go to the second floor. You can do it by using the elevator which is, unfortunately, broken. To help you fix it, you need a winch. With that cleared up, you need to first take a left from the window you see here.
Keep walking and enter the door to your right by removing the barrel obstacle placed in between. Go left and walk ahead while lighting up your path with matches. Then take a right and on your right there will be a table with a winch on it. If you get lost mid-way, don’t panic. You can take your time, light up your way and look for this item.
It is next to a barrel with a light on top of it. Pick up the winch because you need to put it on the elevator. Walk back the same way you arrived and then take a right. Keep moving until you see a broken elevator.
Next, place the winch in the empty slot you can see here.
Now, use a wooden plank from nearby, place it on the elevator floor and stand on it.
Lastly, use the pulley to get yourself on the upper floor with the elevator.
Weak Floor Fortress Puzzle Solution – Fix & Push Cannon
Now, your next goal is to find a weak floor which is right above the radio room. You have to push a cannon towards it which can be done by adding two wheels to the cannon. So, you must find the 2 remaining wheels. One will be near the cannon itself and the other will be in a room with multiple dead bodies shown below. As you can tell, this puzzle tests your exploration skills.
Get the second wheel from there and put both wheels on the cannon.
Once you do that, it’s time to push the cannon. It will keep moving ahead until it falls to the lower floor. Now all you have to do is go down yourself and use the radio to contact Doctor Metzier. Make sure you have the saltpeter with you.
