This time, they’re also bringing two new members to the team. These additional heisters bring unique skills that will come in handy. In Payday 3, the initial roster of heisters consists of six characters — Wolf, Dallas, Pearl (brand-new), Joy (from Payday 2), Chains, and Hoxton. While they may have different voice lines, visuals, backstories, and unique masks, it’s important to note that they all play the same gameplay mechanics.

Classic Characters

  • Dallas

Dallas is the boss of the Payday Gang, as he founded it. His classic mask of the American flag. Since the first Payday: The Heist, Simon Kerr has provided Dallas’ voice, and he will do so again in Payday 3.

  • Hoxton

Initially arrested after Payday: The Heist, he’s released from prison in Payday 2. His actual name is James Hoxworth, making him the only non-American of the original four. Pete Gold will continue voicing Hoxton in Payday 3.

  • Chains

Another key player from the original Payday Gang four is Chains, whose real name is Nicolas. Chains gives the team muscle as a 10-year veteran of the military. Damion Poitier has voiced him since the first game, and he will return in Payday 3.

  • Wolf

Wolf is a Swedish technician known for his unpredictable demeanor. His true identity remains mysterious. In Payday 3, Nicklas Berglund will voice him for the first time instead of his original voice actor, Ulf Andersson.

Pearl is a brand-new con artist character added for Payday 3. She provides a stealthier playstyle, and more will be revealed about her backstory. Rebecca LaChance will voice her.
