A crossbow is a ranged weapon that you can use to deal damage to enemies from a distance. For those who prefer this playstyle, we’ve got some guides on how to get the best bows and where to buy more arrows. But in this article, we will take a look at one of the most important questions on your mind – how to aim your crossbow in Elden Ring? Follow these simple steps.
How to Aim your Crossbow in Elden Ring
To aim using your crossbow in Elden Ring you have to equip it like a Two-Hand weapon, because just equipping it on one hand (with another weapon like a sword), will only allow you to shoot it as hip fire, without the ability to aim. Here’s how to do this:
- First, ensure that your weapon is equipped.
- If you want to two-hand your crossbow, press Y + RB/Triangle + R1. In case you one-hand your weapon, you will end up shooting for your hip which works if you lock onto your enemy.
- But if you want to aim manually, press L1 or LB.
- Press R1 or R2 to load a bolt into your crossbow. (Press the “shoot” button once to load it into your weapon).
- Now all that’s left to be done is to press R1 or RB to shoot one type of arrow/bolt and press R2 or RT to shoot another type of arrow/bolt.
- Players can either use auto-aim or can aim manually (which is the better choice).
- Remember that crossbows have to be loaded before firing every shot. Plus, you cannot give new Ashes of War to crossbows.
Types of Crossbows
