The cloak is an important ability in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. There are red zones or restricted zones in the game. Heavily guarded with high-level enemies, you cannot always hide in grass or trees. Cloak allows you to walk between the enemies without getting noticed. If you are walking without wearing a cloak enemies will find you as a threat. It is a basic thing but is vital for playing the game. You will be using Cloak multiple times in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla unless you are crazy enough to crash like Viking. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: How To Put Up Hood for Disguise?
As you progress in the game this ability will be unlocked automatically. Just keep playing a few starting missions and you will get a cloak added to the armor. Cloak reduces enemy detection range. Red Zones are called Distrust Zones in AC Valhalla. When you are in one of these areas, it is necessary to avoid unwanted encounters.
To disguise, instantly press G on PC. After pressing G the character wears a hoodie type dress. For consoles, hold down on the D-pad and choose the Hoodie icon. This is how to put up hood and disguise yourself. Now, you can more freely walk in Distrust Zones in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla while wearing this. Otherwise, the threat meter around will turn white first, which means you are being watched. Within a few seconds it will instantly turn red, raising alerts.
Archers, Guards, etc will start attacking you. You can choose to fight or run away to hide from the enemies. But when in disguise you won’t be noticed much. So you can walk freely around, grab items, and keep moving safely in Distrust Zone.
Stealth Tips
One more tip – if you want to kill anyone, avoid attacking them in Public. You can also carry and hide the bodies. It is always best to use Raven’s eye and mark high-level enemies. You can see their strength over their head, if you remember Assassins Creed Odyssey, the same mechanism is used here. Avoid enemies who are higher than your level, you won’t be able to beat them.
