Aside from fighting as Yasuke and stealthily taking down enemies as Naoe, you will also come across some breaks in the pace in the form of riddles in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. There are 2 riddles that you can find and giving the correct answer will give you a reward. Here are the solutions.

To find a riddle, talk to NPCs you see along the way. When you see a random encounter, approach them. And if they have a riddle for you, they will let you know.
Riddle 1: Which province is the seashell from?
- Options:
- It must be from Omi.
- It is from Kyoto.
- I believe it’s from Wakasa.
- Correct Answer: I believe it’s from Wakasa.
Riddle 2: I am sucked in from the bottom and let out from the mouth. What am I?
- Options:
- Is it a burp?
- Is it tobacco smoke?
- Is it an evil spirit?
- Correct Answer: Is it tobacco smoke?
The rewards for answering a riddle correctly in Assassin’s Creed Shadows is either a World Rumor or Scout intel. World Rumor.
Should You Choose World Rumor Or Scout Intel?
If you’re given a choice between World Rumor or Scout intel and you select the World Rumor option, the NPC will show a location on the map. You can then head there to see what it’s about. It could be a side quest, a shrine or anything else. This will get you one step closer to unlocking important landmarks on the map, which is hidden by the fog of war.
If you choose the Scout Intel option, the NPC you’re talking to becomes a Scout so if you have run out of options at that moment, this is a good choice. However, if you want to rely on the other options to get more Scouts/okay with waiting for them to refresh, then go for the World Rumor option.
