During the Searching Sakai quest in AC Shadows, you will have the objective to talk to the gunsmiths, which is where you will encounter a few choices to pick. Eavesdrop on Asajiro and Yakichi (make sure to listen closely because the answer to one of the questions is mentioned here) and then talk to them after the dialogue ends. Here are the best choices to pick and the consequences for My name is not important or I am with the Imai.
Moreover, you will be asked a follow-up question, after which you have the chance to give a threatening response or pay a bribe.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows: My name is not important or I am with the Imai?
In this part of the conversation, the choice doesn’t really matter. If you pick I am with the Imai, which is a lie as shown by the scale icon, you will still get a follow-up question (more on this below). Whether the person believes you or doesn’t is pre-planned by the game, and you will have to let the scene progress to see which one it is.
Imai Sokyu’s Son, Daughter or None of your Business?
After your first response, the gunsmiths will ask you, “Who is your contact in House Imai? Sokyu’s son or his daughter?” and you get 3 options: I know Imai Sokyu’s Son, Daughter, and That’s none of your business. Since they were discussing Sokyu’s son in the previous scene where you were eavesdropping, you can choose that option.
You’re wasting my time or Pay the Bribe?
Finally, you have a choice of paying 500 Mon, saying that you don’t have enough mon or say that you’re wasting their time. When you pick the ‘wasting time’ option, the brothers start running and you need to chase the one with the marker. You can kill him and loot the contract from him.
If you decide to pay 500 Mon, it will start a fight between you and the brothers. This should be relatively easy, and once you defeat them, loot the contract and the 500 Mon.
Ultimately, the easiest and fastest option in the Gunsmith choice in AC Shadows, is to give the threatening response so that you can simply chase Asajiro and quickly assassinate him to get the contract.
