How to Get Abyssal Fishing Rod (Sampling Device) in Dredge
In Dredge, Sampling Device is an upgrade that you need to catch Abyssal Fish. You first unlock it after completing the Research Assistant Pursuit. Wherein, you will have to Collect all the Samples to complete this pursuit successfully. Here’s how you can complete this quest and obtain Abyssal accessibility for your Fishing Rod in Dredge.
- Head over to the Old Fortress (Map Location – D5) in Stellar Basin.
- Interact with the Researcher to begin the Research Assistant Pursuit.
- Collect three Fish Samples for the Researcher – Aurora Jellyfish, Firefly Squid, and Glowing Octopus.
- After handing over these 3 Fish (one by one), head to the Research Outpost in North Stellar Basin.
- Further, select “Inspect the Equipment on the Table” to collect Prototype Parts.
- After that, take it back to the Researcher to complete the Pursuit.
Doing so will unlock the Sampling Device upgrade for your Fishing Rod. The Sampling Device has abilities to catch Abyssal Fishes in Dredge. If you have a Research Part, I would recommend using it on the Fishing Rod after unlocking the Sampling Device.
