There are multiple ways to find clay in Stardew Valley. All of them are listed below, you can go with anyone to collect Clay in Stardew Valley.

  2. Digging up Sand
  3. Digging up Artifact Spots
  4. Cracking open Geodes
  5. Receiving it as a gift from Jas or Vincent at the Feast of the Winter Star.

To dig up Dirt, Sand, and Artifact Spots you will need the help of a hoe. Incase if you have any free area on your farm you can even roam around and start digging up those empty spots. However, you will rarely receive a piece of Clay.

The best method to obtain clay is to break open Geodes. Geodes can be obtained by exploring the various levels in the mines. It is best to choose the Standard Geodes for this as you stand a higher chance of getting Clay. To break open the Geode you need to take it to the Blacksmith known as Clint who is located in the East of the town. It will cost 25 gold pieces to open one Geode.

The last option is to receive it as a gift from Jas or Vincent at the Feast of the Winter Star. This has a lower chance of success. The Feast of the Winter Star takes place on the 25th of the Winter Month between 9 am and 2 pm in the main town.
