FIFA 23: How To Hit A Penalty Kick – New System Explained

Published Date :

EA Sports has launched its latest and last edition of FIFA 23 and fans are enjoying it. The game has managed to bridge the gap between real-world football and in-game mechanisms. The use of HyperMotion 2 Gaming Technology has brought upgrades not just in the graphics but also in the AI motion and movement, the upgrades in attacking, skills, dribbling, and defending. Along with that, FIFA 23 comes with a new system for taking a Penalty Kick including the Composure system. Since the system is quite new and entirely different, players are trying to understand how to use it. In this guide, we will show you how to take the spot kick and while we are at it, we will also explain the new system and how it works. So let’s check out this guide and score penalties in FIFA.

How to Take a Penalty Kick in FIFA 23

FIFA 23 Penalty Kick System Explained

While there are no changes in the control, the entire Penalty system is facing a revamp. EA brings these changes in hopes of making Penalty kicks more rewarding. Discarding the reticle that has been part of FIFA for quite some time, EA is bringing a composure system. While you take aim with the left analog, the game will ensure its position between the goalposts. However, whether it ends up in the back of the net is on the composure of the player.

To take a Penalty Kick in FIFA 23, you will need a player with a good composure rating. While you shoot, you will see a shrinking ring around the ball. The smaller it is, the more accuracy and power your shot will have. Along with this, place the ball on any corner and the game will keep it within the frame of the goalpost. Make sure the power of your shot is between 50-75%.

FIFA 23 Composure Ring Explained

Composure Ring appears around the ball and keeps fluctuating in size from big to small. To Score a Penalty Kick in FIFA 23, players have to ensure that they shoot when the ring is as small as possible. This will provide more accuracy and power in your kick. However, Composure Rating is a key factor as the speed of the ring’s fluctuation depends on it.

That’s all there is on how to take a Penalty Kick in FIFA 23. While you are here, make sure you check out our FIFA 23 guides for more content with Gamer Tweak.
