Elden Ring: Carian Glintblade Vs Meteorite Staff & Which Is Better

Karan PahujaBy Karan PahujaJuly 2, 20223 Mins Read

In Elden Ring, one of the choices you will face as a spell caster is Carian Glintblade Staff Vs Meteorite Staff. This choice of which staff to use can be a problem for many players who choose to play as an Astrologer or a Prisoner. The catch is both of these staves are great and have their advantages in different situations. But only one of them is going to be better than the other. So without further ado let us check Carian Glintblade Vs Meteorite Staff in Elden Ring and which is better.

Carian Glintblade Vs Meteorite Staff in Elden Ring

carian glintblade staff vs meteorite staff for elden ring and which is better

Let us start by comparing the stats of both these staves:

    • Carian Glintblade Staff
      • This weapon has no skill and cannot be infused with ashes of war.
      • The Carian Glintblade staff gives a 15% boost to the following sorceries:
        • Carian Phalanx
        • Magic Glintblade
        • Carian Retaliation
        • Greatblade Phalanx
        • Glintblade Phalanx
      • But here is the biggest difference between the two staves. You can upgrade the Carian Glintblade while you cannot upgrade the Meteorite Staff.
      • So when you get the staff it has the following stats:
        • Physical damage: 22
        • Critical damage: 100
        • Sorcery damage: 131
      • But when you max upgrade it these are its stats:
        • Physical damage: 38
        • Critical damage: 100
        • Sorcery damage: 166 – 337
      • The reason the new sorcery damage has a range is because of your stats’ levels for Strength, Intelligence, and Dexterity. The higher these stats are the more sorcery damage you can do.
      • Carian Glintblade staff scales with Strength, Intelligence, and Dexterity. In order to use it you need the following stats:
        • Strength: 6
        • Intelligence: 22
        • Dexterity: 12
    • Meteorite Staff
      • This weapon too has no weapon skills and cannot be infused with Ashes of War.
      • It gives you a 30% damage boost on Gravity sorceries:
        • Rock Sling
        • Collapsing Stars
        • Meteorite
        • Gravity Well
        • Meteorite of Astel
      • It has the following stats:
        • Physical damage: 39
        • Critical damage: 100
        • Sorcery damage: 262
      • The Meteorite Staff scales with Strength and Intelligence. To use it properly you should have the following stats:
        • Strength: 6
        • Intelligence: 18

    Which is Better?

Overall Carian Glintblade is better than Meteorite staff. But if you don’t plan on upgrading your weapon or are in the early game then Meteorite staff is better.

Carian Glintblade is more or less the same as Meteorite Staff when it is upgraded at level +12 or +13. But once you cross these levels and keep going higher then this staff keeps getting more powerful.

That covers this guide on Carian Glintblade Staff Vs Meteorite Staff in Elden Ring and which is better for you to use. Since you like playing this game I would also suggest you to check out our Elden Ring guides to get more help on similar topics like weapons, their locations, and more.
