To get the Zombified Mutation, you need the Chicken Zombie pet. This pet was initially available during the Blood Moon event, and only players who were online at the start of the event were able to get it. It is currently unobtainable. If you missed the event, the only way to obtain the pet now is through trading with other players.
The in-game description of the Chicken Zombie’s ability says: Every 30 minutes, there’s a 20% chance a nearby fruit becomes Zombified! It also increases egg hatch speed by 10%.
So, place the Chicken Zombie in your garden by equipping it and clicking on an empty spot. Every 29.46 minutes, the Chicken Zombie has a 20.27% chance to zombify a random fruit in your garden. Make sure to feed the Chicken Zombie regularly to keep it active and increase its XP, which may enhance its mutation-inducing capabilities. It has 35,000 Hunger in total.
