In Tears of the Kingdom, players will be able to tame different legendary steeds belonging to the main characters. One such legendary steed belongs to Princess Zelda in the game. Players will have to complete a specific side quest to tame the horse. However, since Link’s legendary steed is called Epona, one of the important things that can leave players scratching their heads is what exactly is Zelda’s horse name.
While the comic counterpart has a specific name for the horse, many might think that it’s carried forward in the game. However, that is not the case in So if you want to know more about the steed and what it is called in TOTK, then here is a guide you should check out further.
What is Zelda’s Horse Called in TOTK?
Unlike its comic counterpart, Zelda’s horse is simply called the Golden Horse and can be tamed by players in the TOTK. In the Valiant Comics issue #1 of the Legend of Zelda series, Zelda’s legendary steed was featured as white and was named Storm.
The white horse helped Zelda leave the Kingdom of Hyrule’s North Palace to secure the Triforce, a golden sacred relic before it fell into the hands of Ganon. However, you won’t find any reference to the horse in the recent installment.
Breath of the Wild, the previous installment in the iconic series mentions a white horse owned by Zelda before the Great Calamity.
However, you will be able to tame a completely different steed which belongs to Zelda in Tears of the Kingdom. Players will come across the Golden Horse during the Potential Princess Sightings quest in the game. After interacting with Penn in Snowfield Stable, she will hand over the side quest named Zelda’s Golden Horse.
You will get to know that the horse owned by the princess was handed over to someone for protection. However, due to some reason, it has run off into the wilderness. Players can tame the horse near some ruins along the Tabantha Tundra.
It is worth mentioning that players will be able to rename the Golden Horse whatever they like Zelda TOTK.
