On the website of the Finnish online store called VPD, a possible release date for the role-playing action movie Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which so far is only available in the PS4 version in Japan, was discovered.
According to information on the portal, the western edition of Yakuza: Like a Dragon will go on sale on October 23 of this year. The specified date happens on Friday. This is a typical day of the week for the release of large projects.
According to VPD, Yakuza: Like a Dragon version for PS4 and Xbox One will be released simultaneously. Probably, on the other target platforms, a criminal adventure will appear on the same day.
The only exception is the Xbox Series X. The next-generation Microsoft console will arrive on store shelves in the holiday season, which in the United States means a period of big discounts in November.
The project will support cross-platform save between the Xbox One and Xbox Series X, as well as the Smart Delivery function. So, to play Yakuza: Like a Dragon on both consoles, it is enough to buy a version for one of them.
The Japanese edition of Yakuza: Like a Dragon was released on PS4 on January 16th. According to official representatives, the western release on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X will take place at the end of the year. The premiere of the game on the PS5 has not yet been confirmed.
Soon after the announcement of the Xbox versions, the Yakuza: Like a Dragon page appeared on Steam. As it turned out, thanks to the information in the Valve digital store, the role-playing action movie will use the Denuvo defense system on the PC.
