It would seem that Sony fans should settle only for the PS4 version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
According to what has emerged in the past few hours, the new RPG-style fighting game Yakuza: Like a Dragon developed and published by SEGA has recently been rated by the ESRB and PEGI, confirming that the title will be available during the Christmas holidays “only” on PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
There is no mention for a hypothetical version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon for PlayStation 5. The reasons for this exclusion remain unclear at the moment, also because the Japanese multinational has not expressed itself in any way on the subject.
Could there be an exclusive temporary agreement on the next-gen version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon? The only certainty, for now, is that those who purchase the title for PlayStation 4, will still be able to enjoy the latest effort of Ryu ga Gotoku Studio thanks to the backward compatibility of PS5, even if this will not bring any graphics improvement.
We remind you that Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be available for purchase during the Christmas holidays of 2020, although at the moment no official release date has been announced, on PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
Almost in the previous year, in fact, it was in August of last year, the new game in the Yakuza saga was presented. Initially shown as Yakuza 7, but later known by the name of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the game was little to show the news that it would include.
