Yakuza: Future of The Series Will Be Discussed in A New Livestream Next Month

In a special December livestream, SEGA and RGG Studio will talk about the future of Yakuza.

To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Yakuza series, on December 8, 2020, SEGA and RGG Studio will hold a special commemorative livestream with voice actors Takaya Kuroda (Kazuma Kiryu) and Kazuhiro Nakaya (Kasuga Ichiban).

During this live broadcast, which will be broadcast at 3:00 am PT on December 8, SEGA and the development team of the franchise will discuss the last 15 years of Yakuza, but the special livestream will not stop there as it will also talk about “the future of the series,” where some announcements of new episodes or various ports are probably expected.

“From 8:00 pm [Japanese time] on Tuesday 8 December, a live program will be broadcast to commemorate Ryu ga Gotoku [Yakuza]’s 15th anniversary! We will welcome Takaya Kuroda and Kazuhiro Nakaya as guests. We will look back at the history of the series that has been going on for 15 years and announce future developments,” can be read from the tweet that you can see at the bottom of this news.

In recent weeks some news had spread on the net that SEGA and RGG Studio would be ready to announce a new Yakuza as there were some misunderstandings at the end of September, and it is possible that this moment has indeed arrived.
