Since the closed beta, there has been an air of excitement around XDefiant, and the full release on May 21 brought in an influx of players in Ubisoft’s first-person shooter. Touted to be the rivals of COD, the game has had ups and downs, and it is fairly gripping on occasion. Many players have been wondering what the XDefiant player count would be since it has been quite successful since its release.
Since the game is available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, there are numerous players, and the active count is higher than most would have expected at first. Of course, as days go by, the count is expected to increase or decrease based on players’ experiences while playing XDefiant.
What is the XDefiant Player Count?
Insider Gaming reported that the concurrent XDefiant player count reached about 700,000 players by the end of May 27th, merely a few days after its release. At the time of writing, the game is already close to the 8 million unique player count mark and should reach there soon. The unique player count is defined by players who have downloaded and played the game at least once.
It was reported that within 2.5 hours of its release, XDefiant had 1 million unique players. That’s not all; within 48 hours of the game’s release, there were 3 million unique players, and it has already crossed some of Ubisoft’s internal goals.
Currently, these are the only numbers available, and since the game is officially on the Ubisoft client, third-party applications won’t have access to statistics. Unless Ubisoft chooses to release more stats soon, there won’t be much information on the active player count for XDefiant.
